Avalon Service Center
Avalon Service Center began in 1938 as the Avalon Garage, founded by George B. Leibfried in Rickardsville, Iowa. What started as a modest three-stall repair shop with gas pumps was built on hard work, integrity, and small-town values. Those principles quickly earned a reputation for dependable service and honest workmanship.
In 1955, George’s son, Victor Leibfried, joined the business, marking the second generation of family leadership. The tradition continued into the 1960s and 1970s as Victor’s sons, Kenny, George V., and Mark helped grow and modernize the operation as the third generation.
As customer needs evolved, so did Avalon. In 1983, the company expanded into trailer sales and service, laying the foundation for what would become the core of the business today. By 1990, the name officially changed to Avalon Service Center, reflecting its broader capabilities and continued growth.
Through decades of change, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to quality, strong partnerships, and a dedicated team. These values have helped Avalon become one of the most trusted trailer dealerships in Iowa.
Today, the fourth generation, Matt and Sara Leibfried, alongside business partners, Bo and Tara Duggan, proudly carry the legacy forward. While the industry continues to evolve, their mission remains the same: deliver honest service, provide high-quality products, and take care of the customers long after the sale.
